Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has stepped forward to clear the air regarding recent health speculations that caused a massive stir among fans. A recently released promo for Bigg Boss 20 showed the beloved host experiencing sudden chest pain and asking for a doctor—a clip that quickly went viral and left viewers deeply worried. However, the actor has reassured his audience that it was simply a misconstrued segment meant to serve a specific purpose on the reality show.
Why Did the Bigg Boss 20 Promo Spark Health Concerns?
During a recent Weekend Ka Vaar episode, a dramatically edited promo showed the 60-year-old actor holding his chest, taking off his jacket, and urgently calling for medical assistance while interacting with the housemates. Given the realistic and tense nature of the clip, viewers immediately took to social media to express their alarm, genuinely believing that Salman Khan was suffering from a real medical emergency on stage.
How Did Salman Khan Clarify the Health Scare?
Sensing the growing panic online, Salman Khan took to his official Instagram handle to debunk the rumors. Sharing an update via his Instagram Stories, the actor explicitly stated, “Nothing is wrong with my health by the grace of God”. He went on to explain that the promo was heavily edited in a way that stripped all context from the actual scene, causing an unnecessary scare among his well-wishers.

What Was the Real Reason Behind Salman Khan’s ‘Chest Pain’?
The dramatic display wasn’t an actual health scare, but rather a deliberate act to teach a lesson to one of the Bigg Boss 20 contestants. Salman revealed that he was calling out contestant Qazi Touqeer, who had been faking mental health issues and physical illness inside the house as a “prank” for entertainment.

The actor explained his actions in his post: “It totally beats the purpose n looks like I am doing the same thing that Kazi was doing in the house; the pain was only to show kazi that wat he did was wrong coz he used his health for entertainment specially when the 15 people in the house were not aware that he was acting and were getting worried for his health”. He noted that cutting the promo to look like a real emergency completely defeated the educational purpose of his act.

While clarifying the situation, Salman also took a moment to apologize for the misleading teaser. He wrote, “Sorry abt the way the promo was cut, Guess it’s the format that they use in promoting the shows, I apologise on their behalf”. Shortly after issuing his statement, the actor provided another update, assuring fans that the Bigg Boss editing team had rectified the promo, publicly thanking the makers for their quick action.
Fans of Bollywood’s Bhaijaan can now breathe a sigh of relief knowing that their favorite host is perfectly healthy and ready to continue keeping the Bigg Boss 20 housemates in check.
